Award nominations affirm Club's credentials

It would seem the Global Financial Crisis did nothing to quell the success of Club Financial Services during the past year, with the mortgage lending and loan broking firm being shortlisted for six awards at this year's Australian Mortgage Awards (AMAs).

Finalists for categories including ‘Franchise Operation of the Year', ‘Broker of the Year', and ‘Brokerage of the Year', are acknowledgment of the firm's ongoing commitment to excellence.

Club Director, David Garner, said these nominations reflected the tireless work of its brokers through one of the most difficult economic periods in recent history.

"Being shortlisted for six awards is remarkable, and the individuals and franchises that have received these finalist nominations are outstanding examples of what Club represents," Mr Garner said.

"These brokers have demonstrated that hard work, transparent and personalised service and a detailed understanding of the industry were paramount to surviving the global downturn and being in a position to expand in its aftermath."

Club Financial Services Norwood leads the way, being shortlisted for three AMA awards for ‘Best new Office off the Block', ‘Brokerage of the Year - less than five staff' and ‘Young Gun of the Year' for broker Michael Wegener.

Jeff Hart, Director of Club Financial Services Unley, continues the South Australian dominance being shortlisted for ‘Broker of the Year - Franchise', and Club Financial Services Gippsland is also up for an award with Josh Egan a finalist for ‘Broker of the Year - Insurance'.

David Garner said the finalist nomination for ‘Franchise Operation of the Year' was particularly significant.

"We have grown from humble beginnings in the back room of a Prospect home in 2002, to a national organisation with more than 25 franchises across the country today," Mr Garner said.   

"This nomination is a reflection of the hard work and commitment of every member of the Club team, and also re-affirms our position as a leading franchise organisation."

In a further addition to Club's franchising credentials, Club Financial Services Norwood, has been shortlisted as a finalist for ‘Franchisee of the Year' at the South Australian Excellence in Franchising Awards, to be held at the Sebel Playford, 21 August, 2010.

Winners for the AMAs will be announced at a ceremony at the Westin Sydney, 24 September 2010.
